ইচ্ছে করছে....

এই ভরা বর্ষায়... আমার বইমেলা যেতে ইচ্ছে করছে।ছাতা মাথায় দিয়ে,  ঝুম ঝুম বৃষ্টিতে, শাড়ির কুঁচিটা একটু ওপরে তুলে স্টলের বাইরে থেকে দোকানের ভেতরের লোককে অমুক বইটা আছে নাকি জিজ্ঞেস করতে ইচ্ছে করছে।

মেলা বইয়ের মাঝে,ইচ্ছে করছে একজন খুব প্রিয় বন্ধুর সঙ্গে দেখা করতে, যার সঙ্গে দেখা হয়নি কোনওদিন। তবে কথা হয়েছিল অনেক। নিশ্চুপে একে অপরের সঙ্গে ভাগ করে নিয়েছিলাম জীবনের সুখ দুঃখের কথা, ভালোলাগা-মন্দলাগা...অনায়াসে।পেরিয়ে আসা ছেলেবেলার সময়, বড়বেলার প্রাপ্তি-অপ্রাপ্তি, ইচ্ছে-অনিচ্ছে, আশা-নিরাশা...সওব কিছু নিয়ে করেছিলাম অনেক গল্প। ভাগ করে নিয়েছিলাম জীবনের কিছু সময়ের সব মুহূর্তগুলো।

ইচ্ছে করছে বহু বছর বাদে আবার সেই অদ্ভুত সময়কে ফিরে দেখতে। ইচ্ছে করছে কিছু সিদ্ধান্তকে পাল্টে ফেলতে।এই ভরা বর্ষায়... ইচ্ছে করছে....

ভীষণ দামি এই ইচ্ছে পূরণ হোক, মনের সেই ইচ্ছে করছে...

সমাপতন (Coincidence)

 এক একটা সমাপতন জীবনকে অন্যভাবে দেখতে শেখায়। শেখায়, দেখার নতুন রূপ, নতুন আঙ্গিকে। শুরু করে অনেক নতুন অধ্যায়। আবার অনেক অসমাপ্ত অধ্যায় শেষ ও করে দিতে পারে। বড়ই অদ্ভুত এই খেলা...

আসলে... গোটা জীবনটাই অনেকগুলো অদৃশ্য সমাপতনের ডোরে বাধা। সেগুলো যতদিনে আমাদের সামনে দৃশ্যমান হয়ে উঠবে ততদিনে আবার জীবন পালটে ফেলতে পারে তার চলন। আমরা চাইলেই সমাপতন ঘটবে না। কালের নিয়মে বারবার সেগুলো ফিরে ফিরে আসবে। আমাদের চাওয়া না চাওয়ার ওপর তারা নির্ভর করে না। ভাগ্গিস করে না।

অনেক বছর পর জীবন আবার কিছু সমাপতন চাইছে। খুব করে... যা হবে সহজে দৃশ্যমান...

Review : Monchora (The Heart Stealer)

Hello people, 

Let me wish you all a very happy 2016...

Here I present you a review of a Bengali movie "Monchora", the first movie that I saw in this new year.

Another script-bound venture of Sandip Ray, "Monchora" (The Heart stealer) may be able to steal some quick glances but somehow it may fail to grab the attention of audience. The simplicity of manuscript could be blamed for that but having the legitimate copyright of the story, the director could have given some nice twists and turns without damaging the essence of the story. It’s a simple love story with a hint of mystery and humor. But the author, Saradindu Bandopadhaya (Author of the Byomkesh Bakshi series and many others) touched on the issues of society with his genius strokes with ease. The story revolves around a giant Ruby (Suryomoni) which is an ancestral property of a family & being worshipped for many decades. The film starts with the entry of a thief, Dibakar (played by Abir Chatterjee) and by the magical touch of fate, he met Nanda (Raima Sen). He got a chance to come back in a society of civilized people with her help of her. The track of the love story revolves around Raima-Abir & Saswata Chatterjee (Nanda’s corrupted brother) & June Mallya (Lily, a seductress). As the story progresses, Dibakar and Nanda fall in love with each other & at the same time, Saswata was getting cheated on by June & her gang. A tug-of-war of trust & distrust was going on between Nanda & Dibakar. Still, at the climax the protagonist, Dibakar succeeded in proving his innocence by not revealing the folly of Saswata in front of his beloved grandfather (enacted by veteran actor Paran Bandopadhaya as a loving yet strict person). 

Raima, Saswata & June have succeeded to enact according to the need though it was quite odd to hear “thank you” from Raima to their old servant many a time. Abir Chatterjee, the rising star of Tollywood to the ruling star of the industry has tried to fit into the character of a common man but the aura of his personality has somewhat obstructed him to do that. It may have been difficult for him to portray a simple, common man’s character after getting habituated to working in intense films (both as Byomkesh Bakshi & Feluda). There was no space for camera work in the film though the costume of the actors was great.

However, it can be said that too much of simplicity may not help the film to be in the hearts of the viewers. None the less, it’s a simple film with a simple storyline which can help you to keep up your good belief of beautiful earth.

VIBRANT VIZAG
Last year, my parents & I visited Vizag (Visakhapattanam), the head-quarter to the Eastern Naval Command of the Indian Navy in Andhra Pradesh. This dynamic city is enriched with geographical as well as cultural diversity. The place has an ensemble blend of ancient and modern age, where we get to see the Simhachalam temple built in 11th century and also Submarine Museum in the same city.


On the first day of our trip, as we reached the Ramakrishna Beach, we got to witness the true colour of the city. Especially the women in sarees with a string of belli flowers on their buns looked simple yet wonderful on the beach.


 The fresh air, a magnificent sunset and the constant roaring of sea did relax and rejuvenate our mind and body. The next day we went to Rushikonda beach, another unadulterated beauty and then to famous Submarine Museum where we had a lifetime experience of entering into INS Kurusura Submarine which has the glory of serving the nation for twenty one years. Then we went to see the Simhachalam temple which is an exquisite synthesis of Oriya and Dravidian style of architecture and sculptures. On the third day, we visited Araku Valley situated in the midst of Anantagiri hills and fell in love with the amazing atmosphere. We also visited Borra Caves which made us speechless by its magnificent structure.
                     Altogether it was a very delightful trip and it’s quite evident that one would definitely wish to visit this amazing city again.

hey people..

here i am.. again... was juz thinking of writing something on the last day of 2011.. funny, huh? i know it is..!! :D but.. what's wrong as being a freak? now a days, if you are not a freak then you are 'not' normal maaaan !!

well, how was the year to you? good? bad? what? don't you feel happy when you look back to the whole year?? ohhh plzz.. change your dumb expression from your face.. it makes you look umm.. ugly..! juz be haappppy .. just for one coz.. you are lucky enough that you are in front of a computer and reading my stupid writing.. and still you are alive ! got the point boy?? huh? ... bring a biggg smile on your face..and stop complaining ..!
Well, as it seems that you are lucky, you have right to celebrate and welcome another new year happily... so... let's juz celebrate.. !!!!!
but hey... don't forget to wish your family.. sometimes.. it happens .. that .. you have wished everyone except your parents.. ohh.. am not talking abt you.. neither of me.. but .. you knw.. it was kind of... aaahh.. forget it..i know you will... :) so.. what are you waiting for?? just start to enjoy with your near ones before the next day strikes innn.. !
